Internal Flights
Trains in France
Train tickets must be purchased in advance of travel and
validated in the machines on the platform before boarding the
train. Failure to validate your ticket could result in a fine.
Overnight sleeper and daytime TGV trains can be booked online at
Rail Europe's website
. Journeys with stopovers and any other train tickets
within France (useful if you're planning a multi-location holiday)
can also be booked and tickets can be posted to UK address only for
a small fee.

Driving in France Notes
In general motorways in France are well surfaced and signposted.
Excellent rest areas are available at regular intervals most with
family friendly facilities.
Be sure to check the current French laws on driving before
travelling. Many offences carry an on-the-spot fine and instant
licence confiscation.
The French Government organisation Bison Futé gives up-to-date traffic conditions
throughout France. It is in French but has graphic legends. Autoroutes gives
information on toll (peage) charges and traffic information.
